Big Idea
Mark and Fey, also known as The Grill Dads, are two ex-advertising execs embarking on a new journey: food! They have been featured on shows like Food Network's Guys Big Project and selling out pop-up events all over Los Angeles. They lure you in with mouthwatering food but make you stay for their personality.
When The Grill Dads approached me, they felt disconnected from their visual identity. At the moment, The dads felt their overall brand could align better with their laid-back, vibrant, and not-too-serious personalities. I helped them brand themselves with a website and art direction on their new line of products.

Humor Goes A Long way.
Throughout the website, using The Grill Dad’s humor played a major role in creating a connection with their audience. A big differentiator between them and other people in BBQ space is their lack of seriousness. Adding their tone of voice to the site makes it feel authentic and unique to the brand.
Cooking Made Easy
The Grill Dads post delicious recipes weekly. The website houses all of them in one place. Users gain access to these recipes along with videos with directions on how to make the dishes.
Keeping Things Organized
The website has a large amount of recipes. To keep things organized, we categorized all of the recipes by the type of meat being used.
